The conference Avenue: Hotel Appi Grand in Iwate Region

This conference avenue on October 5th from 4PM to 6PM

 

The conference is held in Hotel Appi Grand on 4th October 5th October and 6th October.

On 7th October from 9AM we leave Appi Grand Hotel and have a simple excursion to Iwate Prefectural University Campus in Iwate and back to Morioka station around noon. (see below).

Participants are majorly, arriving from Tokyo to Morioka station by Shinkansen (Super Bullet Train), from Tokyo. It takes about 2 hours and half from Tokyo station to Morioka (using Hayate Shinkansen). Hayate: Is the name of the train series leaves Tokyo and stops in Omiya sta, Sendai sta and Morioka sta only, it travels at 265 Km/hour

The trains are very frequent almost every one hour for Shinkansen Train. Japan is very well-provided with high speed trains and there is no need to worry. Sunday or normal day is no difference for train rate running.

We recommend you purchase "Flexible 4 which allows unlimited rail travel in JR East area (e.g. between Narita Airport and Morioka Station) for any four days.

How to use the Flexible 4-day JR East Pass

Select any four days within a one pass is issued. At the start of each day you use the pass, present it to a station staff or a train conductor to receive a stamp with the date.

 

Seat Reservations

* Making a Reservation at a Station

Visit a JR Ticket Office (Green window or Midori-madoguchi (in Japanese)) or Travel Service Center, located in any JR East stations, and present your JR East Pass to reserve a seat.

 

Narita Express operates between Narita airport and Tokyo station. It runs every one hour and provides an easy and comfortable way to travel to Tokyo station.

From Tokyo station to Morioka station (Real-life Camera->)

by Tohoku Shinkansen Train: 145 minutes:

It takes 2 hours and 25 minutes from Tokyo station to Morioka station by Tohoku Shinkansen Train.

The avenue is called Hotel Appi Grand and surrounding is called Appi heights (APPI KOGEN) is beautiful mountainous area near to Iwate Mountain.

All participants are recommended to stay at Hotel Appi Grand.

However we have organized the buses between Morioka and Appi Grand Hotel during the conference three days as free, so you can stay in Morioka city if you wish and use these free buses.

We have provided to ways to travel from Morioka station to Appi Grand Hotel. You may select the best for your convenience.

It is advisable that you use the buses way.

If you can control your time to arrive on 3rd Oct. then you may use the Buses as it be more convenient and well organized by our Organizing committee, check the Buses link below for more details.

There are signs of WSEAS-Iwate at Morioka station to help you be gathered and guided to our prepared buses. Also, there are sign and post for WSEAS-IWATE just look for them, very easy to spot it.

For those who may arrive Narita airport or else late evening and could not catch the last 8:20PM Shinkansen Train leaving from Tokyo to Morioka, please organize yourself to stay the night in Narita or Tokyo or else and take the morning train to Morioka to catch either the buses 10:20 AM or 14:10; and as indicated above.

 

newsWe have received the following question:

If I wish to arrive on October 1st is it possible to have the same rate, and is it possible to have busies?

Answer: Yes, it is possible to have the same rate if you use the booking form for reservation. The buses notified as free of charge on 3rd of October are also available on 1st of October and 2nd of October as well. Please, mention this on your booking form.

 

On 7th of October we are all leaving at a special organized bus from 9AM (departure from the hotel).  This is complementary from IPU (our university) (it is free of charge). This bus will make tour (excursion) in Iwate and Morioka then will go to it is final destination at noon to Morioka JR station. Those who are checking-out on 7th of October and wish to take this bus should confirm to reserve the bus and their departure time at the Hotel reception. Also need to be ready to checkout and waiting in the Hotel loopy by 8:50 AM. Other who would like to stay in the hotel and be on their own can do so; they can use the free buses provided (Buses: )

We have banquet on 5th October so you need to be ready, for a variety of social dance and Japanese foods and folk music by Iwate.

We would leave by buses from Hotel Appi Grand around 3:30PM, so you need to be available by that time, so that we can enjoy the Iwate Prefectural University Session at our university, and also enjoy the varieties of Japanese foods with local music at the banquet we organized in the Grand Hotel in Morioka city, the best hotel in Iwate. We wish you have a nice stay with us in Japanese Culture. We will have all types of foods, so you do not to worry if you are vegetarian or Muslim or else.  Everything is counted. Do not forget to bring you camera..
